Hi everyone! Sorry for any inconvenience, but I’ve moved my blog to here.
I was a part of the BlogPeoria network, but it came to my attention that the proprietor can (and did, at one point) exercise the ability to ban someone from viewing all BlogPeoria blogs (including mine).
The cause? A petty dispute over a blog post that had nothing to do with my site.
This made me really uncomfortable, as I could actually be banned from my own blog if I upset the wrong person.
Thus, I have moved my blog to WordPress, where I can be in charge of who can see and comment on my blog.
So don’t piss me off.
(Just joking! I have never deleted a comment that wasn’t spam!)
I’ll be spending the next couple of days updating my blogroll, so, please, let me know if I leave off your blog.

Wordpress.com is a good site. You’ll do well there. BTW: Check out there terms of service.

Oh, do you want me to keep you site open, or close it eventually?

Billy,
Thanks for your support. I did read the terms of service and did note that:
“Automattic has the right (though not the obligation) to, in Automattic’s sole discretion (i) refuse or remove any content that, in Automattic’s reasonable opinion, violates any Automattic policy or is in any way harmful or objectionable, or (ii) terminate or deny access to and use of the Website to any individual or entity for any reason, in Automattic’s sole discretion.”
However, I seriously doubt that Automattic would take the time to ban someone from my blog based upon a disagreement.
I would like to keep the Blog Peoria site open, for a bit, so that people can be redirected to my new blog.
Best Wishes,
Jennifer

My 2-cents – While WordPress.com is a great way to take advantage of free resources, you will be taking your blog out of the local loop of traffic that has steadily increased on blogpeoria.com since the site was first launched.
IMHO – Locals should stick together! Settle your differences and stick around – k?

Mr. Paul,
Hmm.. I don’t quite buy that:
“you will be taking your blog out of the local loop of traffic that has steadily increased on blog.peoria.com”
because, despite having had a BlogPeoria blog for over two years, I somehow never quite made it on the blogroll!
I do think locals should stick together, and I will still frequent (and comment on) local blogs, including all of Billy’s sites. I really have no problem with Billy even though I disagreed with a decision he made; there’s no animosity. Just a simple solution in the moving of my blog to where I feel I will have more control.

Hi Jennifer
Hey, however you do it, good luck to you at WordPress.com. Whatever happened over the comment or why Billy never put you on the blogroll is none of my business. I know he has had some trouble with a plugin that is separate from the blogroll, which when working will display all blogs with recent posts. Maybe that has something to do with it, I don’t know.
Honestly, I’m not trying to stick up for Billy or anything, I’m just sticking up for community. I’m glad you will still be around here too and making contributions to this network.
As far as more control, you gain in some ways and loose in others. That is my experience anyway.
Take care and warm regards!

How much money can I make just holding up a cardboard sigh begging for money?
