And naysayers always seem to think "pop culture," whether it be Elvis, the Beatles or the Doors, is leading us to hell in a handbasket. I think terming it "ghetto culture" is taking it a step further though, and using a common phenemenon (each generation wanting to shock the previous) to denigrate people based on race/culture.
