After much laughter she admitted it. She thought to ask him something that didn't even strike me-what did he do with it? Her response: They're pervs?! I told her, no, that they supposedly feed off teenage angst and drama and she said "But I'm not dramatic at all!" Then I reminded her of the time she said that she lives in a hellhole because her brother ate her gogurt. It is very comforting to have the dog to blame - I don't stay up at night wondering "what the hell was that noise?" But even the smartest dog couldn't get petrified poop into someone's pocket. And probably could get a paperclip stuck in its own ear. I would blame the kids . . . He also barks at almost any noise, so that's another mysterious aspect to the noise in our house that night (and makes me think it's from inside-not outside) because he didn't bark at all!
