“Um, one, Maria.”
MB: “Are you sure? That doesn’t look right.”
Me: “Um, yah, just one ‘n’”
MB: “No that’s not right, there are two ‘n’s’ in ‘annoy‘”

Yes … but one of those ‘n’s’ is silent. In ‘annoy’ I mean. In Illannoy the ‘s’ is silent.
